My heroes rock.

I just read jtg33's goodbye post, and I am reflecting on what I would be doing right now without my heroes at DU: kpete, lala, babylonsister, H2Oman, Will Pitt, symbolman, monkeyman, sparkly and her man, helderheid, mike c, matcom, hekate, caoimhe, sacajawea, autorank, and please forgive me if I did not mention you. I have no idea what I would be doing. As much as I need my physical community, I need DU and the vast wisdom and knowledge at my fingertips because of the hard work of all ya'all. I know these appreciation threads come up often, and this is really no different, but I thought you folks should know how much I appreciate the load-carrying you do for us all.

but it threw me on this thread. I mean, I like where I live, but I just didn't get it at first. And no, I am from Oregon and California and hoping to return. Not because I don't like JP, but I miss my community out there. Only recently have I even had what I would call a friend here, and I have been here 2 years, 1 day, and 23 hours. But who's counting?

Actually, I did it on purpose....

I have no heroes. I have fans. (kidding) I know what you mean. DU is a lifesaver at times. At other times, I quit here every 5 minutes.
