Will Gore make a deal with Obama and Edwards if he gets in? |
|
On one of the talking heads shows, I heard someone saying that they thought Gore would make a deal with Edwards, Obama, Biden and Richardson if he got in, guaranteeing them a spot on his cabinet. They suggested these folks would bow out and endorse Gore leaving Hillary all by herself.
Does anyone know who said this, and does anyone think this has any merit?

2. I dont know who said it, and it sounds extremely dubious at this juncture |
|
However, I would like to see a Gore/Obama ticket with Biden lined up as Sec of State.

Obama, Edwards have a shot. I can't see giving up a shot for a place on somebody's cabinent.

3. I'd say Biden and Richardson |
|
Since they're not doing so well anyway. Unfortunately, both of them are competing for SecState. :D But Obama and Edwards are doing better. I think they'd go up against Gore. I don't think that Hillary is interested in anything but the top job.
BTW, a hard-core Republican that I work with has come out and said that he'd vote for Gore in a heartbeat. He also likes Obama - and Ghouliani.

4. That would seem pretty arrogant to me |

Unlike some, I'm not necessarily a huge fan of the idea of Al Gore getting into the race. He's great where he is now and (insert trumpets here), he's not going to run anyway...
I doubt Edwards or Obama would back out of the race like a couple of Al's little lapdogs if he blessedly bequeathed them a seat at his table when he walks through the Oval Office door in 2009.
I still have a Bill Bradley magnet on my fridge....next to the Kerry and Obama ones.

7. I think it's too early to know about that kind of thing. |
