Mitt Romney just blamed other countries for taking profits in their own oil
Edited on Tue Jun-05-07 06:54 PM by LSK
Not only are the oil companies apparently profiting too much, but other countries such as Russia, Iran, Venezuela are profiting off their oil.

4. Well,
I think he meant to say they are taking profits on OUR oil. A minor mis-statement on Mitt's part.

11. He's an Investment Banker
gobbling up companies and "turning them around" with HUGE profits to himself --- taxed at capital gains and not income rates.

What could we expect????? Only corporations should own the most vital resources ---- never the governments. Unless, of course said corporations also own the governments in question.

Randi did a section on this today, without mentioing Mitt - just the topic in general.

He is a corporatist through and through --- and also a very disciplined Mormon.

Being a Mormon is not a disqualifier -- but depending on which side of the political fence they land -- count on them to be incredibly industrious and productive. A few of them are liberal, believe it or not. Harry Reid apppears to be on "our" side -- and Mo Udall definitely was.

Much to my amazement, a very good friend is a Mormon and while she pooh poohs the beliefs - she lives the life, while being chariming, hilarious AND a progressive. Her husband happens to be another investment banker and a true Repug.

13. That's been the case for a long time.
It's that secret government thing........and, of course, the corporatocracy.
