1. wow!
He was good by my standards (the rest sucked big) but I never thought repugs would go for him. Interesting.

2. Ron Paul is their worst friggin' nightmare
talk about splitting itself, the GOP will split itself in 3 directions. The moderates go with Rudy, the fundies go with whoever demonstrates that he's the most nuts and Ron Paul could get a lot of independents that would like to vote GOP and the libertarian leaning. They'll be in complete disarray and broken by March-April.

4. Ron Paul did great tonight
Especially on the pre-emptive doctrine. Other than Huckabee who appealed for care beyond the womb, the rest were screwballs.

6. The 2008 general election may be just like the 1912 election.
The contest was pretty much between the Democratic candidate and the Bull Moose independent candidate. The Rethug was a distant third. I suspect Hagel is going to run, especially if Paul is doing this well.

8. Regarding Ron Paul
Nothing much to add here other than holy crap, I never knew I could want to shake a Republican's hand so much!
