Trolling Anti-Evolutionists: Read this... |
|
Your boys were real impressive tonight. In fact I thought I was dreaming when I heard one of them actually say that he didn't know whether the Earth was created in 7 days 6000 years ago because...he wasn't there. Pretty profound and narcissistic to boot.
One thing we do know: the ancient civilization of Babylonia existed 6000 years ago, because there were objects in a museum which pre-date the existence of Abraham. This city named Ur was a significant ancient city in a country now known as...Iraq.
What a thought, right? And who says that it's a small world? Of course we saw to it that these objects were looted and may have disappeared forever. How conveeeenient. You guys...

2. yeah I thought that as well |

Loot the museums of any evidence that anything existed past 6000 years ago and there you have it, the fundies are right. The thing thats most interesting to me are the manuscripts written on paper. seems that anything that had a word on it was looted. like the original poster says "how convenient"

4. There are Individual Living Organisms Like Bristlecone Pines That Are Older Than 6000 Years |
|
And there are over 400,000 years of ice layers accumulated in Antarctica. But I suppose they don't know that.
Look, if someone wants to propose a young earth hypothesis, let them propose one. But it hasn't been done so far, in part for the simple reason that it would look ludicrous. And in part because the purpose is not to conduct science, but to quiet the faithful.

is that to really believe in a young earth hypothesis, you have to believe in unbelievably rapid changes in earth's climate. *And* in evolution -- to get from a smaller number of orgaisms on Noah's Ark to the millions of variations and varieties today.
And then they turn around and act like these things are ridiculous. That's what's so stupid.

7. It surprises me that this is so controversial. |
|
I've always believed of course in evolution -- it's scientific fact, so how can that be controversial?! But I also believe in God & have pretty much just assumed there are things we will never know or understand & that since it IS the way it IS, that perhaps God designed it that way....
