Did anyone watch Fred Thompson after the Rep debate?
Thompson Will Shadow G.O.P. Debate as Fox’s Guest

By Katharine Q. Seelye
Fred Thompson

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Former Senator Fred Thompson, who has all but declared his candidacy for president, may not be on the stage at Tuesday night’s Republican debate in New Hampshire, but he will have another platform all to himself – on the Fox News Channel.

Mr. Thompson is to appear live on “Hannity & Colmes” after the debate, which ends at 9 p.m.

This show may be an even better venue for Mr. Thompson, and indeed a friendly one for him, even though he’s already an accomplished television performer. He will have the set to himself and will not have to compete with his 10 soon-to-be rivals for precious air time during the two-hour talk-fest.

He’ll get to review (pan?) their performances and offer a preview of his own campaign, without so much as a divergent peep out of them and no pesky red light telling him to wrap it up.

4. The corporate media will anoint him
and protect him, just as they did with chimp. So yes, he's a threat.:puke: And it's not just tweety. I saw wolf do it tonight with a big grin on him face, going on and on about how big and charming he was. It was creepy.

6. Who is going to run him like Dick runs W? Who will be in control of
this lazy freak? I wonder who will really have the power?

11. I suspect his doner list will look exactly like the...
Bohemian Grove encampment attendance list.

You know what I mean, Vern?

9. It will be very important
for the Dems to get the "Washington Lobbyist" label stuck early on. He is going to try to run as a populist outsider who everyone can have a beer with. That crap needs to squashed early on and the real Fred needs to be exposed as the lazy, half baked, faux actor that he is.

10. He was not only a "Washington Lobbyist," he was also a
Registered Foreign Agent! It sounds like he worked for SPECTRE.

12. I wouldn't doubt it
Fred has quite the history. They are going to run him like Bush part II. An allegedly charismatic, populist outsider who can connect with the people and drink beer with them and stupid shit like that.He will probably trot out that red rented pickup truck. We got that crap with Bush 43 in 2000 and the stupid MSM is going to run with it like lemmings with an overzealous deathwish.

I hope the Republicans do some damage but I am not counting on it due to there talent of walking in lockstep. So the Dems better take the Fred threat seriously and politically garrot him with ferocious relish. (Sorry, just saw the "Sopranos")

13. I don't think they're are going to run him like Bush part II. They're going to run him
like Reagan part II. You're hearing the comparisons already. Thompson as a candidate doesn't scare me too much, but running against Reagan's ghost does.

14. I agree
Reagan part II is the Republican theme. DOH! The Dems need to distance that Republican wet dream of Fred as Reagan with a broken record script of "the truth about Fred" over and over can hopefully resonate with the public who buys into this pseudo famous actor stuff.

15. Speaking of which, we need more debunking of the St. Ronnie myth.
I lived through the '80s. The old fart was NOT all that. It's not the main point of the OP, but if Bass-face Fred is going to be packaged at the second coming of Great Leader Ron Il Sung, let's see plenty of reminders of what a stupid, lazy fuck-up the old man was, and was a corrupt administration he presided over - much like Dear Leader Shrub Jong Il, of course, who was also supposed to be the second coming of St. Ronnie. And where has that gotten us?

16. Wow, that will surely endear him to the declared candidates.
Can't wait for them to start tearing him apart now.

17. I don't see him as a threat
He's fat and balding. Add the the whole wife thing and he's a pretty easy target for the other republican candidates to attack.
