5. When people are dissatisfied, they kick out THE INCUMBANTS |
|
That, this time, is us.
Watch. The Republicans are going to run anti-war, anti-Bush Republicans in vulnerable districts. And they will WIN, unless we wake up, now. Read my post that I link to above.

8. You are very right. Look at the meme some pundits are talking about.... |

neocons are liberals.
It is how the French election was run. Chirac's follower ran against Chirac's record and beat the socialist.
GOP pundits are very worried that if they loose followers and their base..they loose them to Dem/Centre. They are trying to dig a trench "Bush is more liberal than real conservatives are" for "the base" to fall into.
They are trying to create the path for disatisfied GOPers to follow.

You are right. We are not going to be running against Bush in 08. Actually it will be the Republican candidate who will be running against bush in 08. And whoever the Republican candidate is, they are going to try to push the same buttons that were so effective before the American people knew Bush was an idiot. They will talk about how we need to strengthen the economy, lower taxes, they will talk about the need for religion and values, they will talk tough on foreign policy and make it clear that whoever the Dem nominee is weak willed and soft on whoever the threat is. The Rep candidate will probably be portrayed as the candidate of the common man, while the Dem candidate will be branded an elitist. They will rail against abortion, gay marriage, taking guns from us, and the lack of faith. The Rep candidate will be marketed like a can of peas.
Well, it worked in 2000. Most Americans didn't know yet that the main difference between Bush and a can of peas is the latter has more mental acuity. To those of you who are overconfident about 08, remember that the Republican campaign machine was even able to elect a dolt like Bush. ANd we probably won't have an opponent as dumb as Bush in 08. So we are going to have our hands full.
We run against in 08, the Rep candidate is going to say "me too!"
Not meaning to rain on our parade, but we have to figure out how to win in 08 instead of just assuming that we will. We can be sure that the Reps will be doing that.

3. Still too high. It should be 24%, at the most. |

Until Faux Noose is off the air, it will stay up. There are still too many people who are not paying attention and those who will never give up on him.
