Rumsfeld on Libby: "patriot, dedicated public servant...honorable, selfless..."

Pages 28 - 29 of 62 Rumsfeld Letter

These letters are sad in their lies and self-delusions.

5. what describes an act of treason

I thought any act to line ones pocket, subvert ones government or agent was a treasonous act.
EVIDENTLY I'M WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO LIBBY OR RUMSFELD OR ELSE LAWS ARE ONLY FOR
THE LOWER CLASSES. HMMMM SEEMS I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE!

a summation:LIBBY ought to keep his mouth shut and take his patty cake sentnce like
the lucky man he is.
he should be facing a firing squad!

6. Of course it's treason
but laws don't apply to Bushco's goons. :sarcasm:

4. I'm still reading the letters and the pro-Libby thinking is hive-like
and the constant appeals to the "good of the country" and "Libby served the country" - sick, sick.

8. Libby mainly serves Libby
Edited on Wed Jun-06-07 07:31 AM by Hubert Flottz
Bush might find that out before this is all over with. If Bush don't get Libby off Libby knows enough on all of them to hang them. George will bust Libby out...bet on it.

Edit...speaking of hives...Libby is your typical drone.

10. Bush could pardon him and claim his conviction as "political"
and that justice wasn't served, hence the pardon for all those years of public service - I can see Bush spinning it that way

On the other hand, I can also see Bush not issuing a pardon and claiming that as "proof" he doesn't protect anyone...
and that he's "tough" on those in govt. who break the law.

Really depends on how his warped little mind wants to play it.

7. Skimming through those letters
It is quite awful to see the complicity of so many highly educated people. They care nothing about the "ordinary man" or rules of law.
