A candidate who wants to win, would endorse & promise to fight for
some things that ALL people could get behind..regardless of their "party"

For starters, I could support any candidate who favored:

1. National healthCARE (not "insurance")(see *6)

2. Rescinding the upper-crustie tax cuts *this is NOT a tax INCREASE...just a roll-back to SENSIBLE taxation policy

3. ENDING the war A.S.A.P. ..with drawdowns immediately

4. Making ballots for "nationally held office" elections STANDARDIZED and on PAPER..with a mandatory random sampling from all districts set for automatic MANUAL hand-counts

5. Public financing for senate/house & presidential races..with TIME LIMITS for campaigning..no more than 6 months prior to any primary..TV channels set up for each party, and FREE airtime given to candidates who meet requirements..all have EQUAL time, and must ONLY proffer THEIR policy ideas (no trashing of other candidates)

6. FREE passports for ALL US citizens..passport number used to enter school, get a job, get national health care service.. MANDATORY JAIL TIME for anyone who hires someone not eligible to work here..(CEO of company too)

7. Mandatory FIVE YEAR interval before retiring government officials could "lobby" their former cohorts.

8. Building regional refinery system to "compete" with the predatory privately owned refineries that are gouging us, and issuing a warning to oil companies to shape up or face confiscation. (affordable transportation is VITAL to our economy)

9. Secure social security , by elimination of the $87K cap

10. Either start taxing churches, or start enforcing the "separation of church/state" issues that have caused so much division.

None of these are 'rocket science'...just good ole "kitchen-table" issues that affect every family in the US.
