ok Pew has * at 29%. That is the new political mendoza line and suggest for the first time that even the base is deserting him.
He has put his stamp of approval on an "amnesty program" which pisses off the nationalistic conservatives.
He is not going to pardon Libby which is really pissing off the NeoCons who are the intellectual conservative base of the party. Bill Kristol is the mouthpiece of the the neocons in many respects and he is now saying that if *h does not genuflect to their corner of K street by pardoning him he will lose any respect they have for him..
Earlier this week Gingrich call it an incompetent administration seeing that all of the ten dwarfs were still trying to appeal to the 30% of still support *
And last night, I suspect in part because Gingrich had given them cover and for fear that he might jump in and grab the disenchanted wing of the party, the 10 dwarfs started taking shots at * as well.
Hell even Putin is taking shots at him. And An Coulter called him Stupid today according to another poster
Three GOP senatord, Alexander, Gregg and Bennett are now saying he ought to try bipartisanship if he wants to continue in iraq and that list is going to grow today by at least four more.
On top of all that Bartlett resigns as Comnmuncications director.
Not a good week for * and it is only Wednesday.

1. other polls have had him down to 28% in recent weeks... |
|
Even that has probably been the result of oversampling Repugs (the internets rumor mill chatter has him as low as 19% on supposed top secret internal REPUG polls--thus the overt effort of candidates to distance themselves)

2. I believe Bush** will pardon Libby soon. Cheney won't let his guy fall like this. |
|
Rove will set it up to happen on a weekend.

6. One of the reasons he likely won't pardon Scooter is |
|
to show Cheney he is the boss. I think there is a real turf war going on in the WH and stubborn George plans to win at all costs - f**k the consequences for the party and anyone else who does not lick his cowboy boots.

7. The WH may be in free fall, but never underestimate the |

laziness and the ignorance of the American people when it comes to civic responsibility. Watch. Those who vote represent a small portion of the public. Most people don't know who their own representative is, and some don't even track on the highest offices of the land. The Republics are counting on this when it comes time to vote again and the media is aiding and abetting still. Just enough noise to make it look good and spinning terra for the wilfully ignorant and those who fear the other.
Freefalls quite often have hard landings, but once in a while someone gets lucky and catches the shrub on the cliffside. This is why the Democratic candidates need to fight hard and be on offensive now. You can just bank on *'s abysmal incompetence and psychopathology. Multiply him by, what...10, equally craven Republic candidates right now and you can't afford to be less than vigilant. Your voice needs to soar above the yammering.

10. Does it really matter? |

If we do not have a leadership that will stand up for the Will Of The People, this is about as pyhrric as it gets.
