Wikipedia has a new rival, Conservapedia. The George Bush of search engines!

It was bound to happen right? What with all those anti abortion extremists around, someone, sometime was going to object to the easily unfiltered information on the web and strike back with something a little more in keeping with their own moral philosophy. And presto; Conservapedia was born, a religious rival to the might of Wikipedia. Now when you search for something, you get it with a slant..

To illuminate you on this matter, I illustrate this point with an excerpt of an entry from both sites. The word searched for? GAY. The results are shocking.

4. Why is it that everything of a conservative bent has to do with

some aspect of sexual morality?

I click the link and immediately see a moral implication, well, why do conservative moral values only deal w/sexual matters? There are no "moral" values placed on theft, bribery, murder, rape, bigotry, hypocrisy in conservative thought processes, those are norms that are accepted as unworthy of the "moral" concept...but mention sex, and these people go ballistic.

Case in point: Clinton was immoral because he received a blow job, but bush is moral even though he is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in the ME. :wtf: It is "immoral" to terminate a bundle of cells during the first weeks of pregnancy, but it is fine to take a more complicated bundle of cells actually developed into a human baby, and allow it to starve, because the parents are poor and although they try desperately to keep the baby alive, they cannot afford the necessary nutrients...:grr:

If there is a hell, conservative hypocrites are being shoveled in by the ton...maybe if they look at it that way, souls as fuel for the depths of hell, they might comprehend Global Warming...:rofl:
