A Recommendation - Studs Terkel's The Good War

I am reading this book and boy...it is such an eye opener in some regards as well as being a book that reaffirms what I recall about my own father's experience (what I had learned)...

Interestingly I just finished a chapter about a WWII vet whose son didn't want to go to Vietnam...how the entire neighborhood supported his son's decision but his own son did 3 years of hard prison time for that decision.

The book breaks my heart and also uplifts you when you read about the good things people did...
