Pat Buchanan said that the republicons...
like Graham,Mc Cain and others are putting their careers on the line because they are for the immigration bill and fighting for it. What I would like to know is who said that being a congressman or woman was suppose to be a career. I guess when they people vote it is just for practice, I didn't know that this was a lifetime position.

1. He's inadvertantly named a major problem with the system.
Most politicians DO treat it as a career. That's why they aren't worth a shit to most of us except right before the election.

2. According to what I've heard on the "internets'
congress critters continue to receive their annual salaries and full bennies long after their retirement or defeat and supposedly until their demise.

We all can expect to receive similar compensation and coverage . . .right. . .?

Dunno if it's true but it probably is.

yikes. . .the inequity is truly astonishingly lame.

4. "One love. . .
One heart. . .let's get together and feel all right. . . "

Would that it were that simple.

Am sorry. Just contracted and earworm when I read your response. Might have been the dreads.

6. Congress Critters still get lifetime pensions even if
they are convicted and in prison. That is outrageous!
