Maybe I missed the news coverage. I worked late.

Does not seem all that long since I started a thread "nearing 2500"

2. It's just a number.
Why do you hate America?

There are illegal immigrants running amok in our country and you worry about this? Have you no priorities?

:sarcasm:

Seriously, it's a shame that "the number" has climbed this high. We can only hope those responsible are held accountable. When I think of the kids, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and friends this number impacts it's very disturbing.

If there is any honor and support for our troops, justice will be served in their deaths.

4. deja vu
I was six years old when we moved to Camp Pendleton. I expect Sgt. Walsh trained in some of the same areas that I accompanied my Dad on maneuvers. So many Tristons out there. And so little we can do for them.

Camp Pendleton Marine Sgt. Nicholas R. Walsh and his two sons, 5-year-old Triston and 4-month-old Tanner. Walsh was killed in Iraq on May 26.
