I know there are Lou Dobbs fans here...and I understand why...but don't you think he Trashes Dems |
|
Too Much? I've always known he has Libertarian (No or Small Gov't Sympathies) but WHY does he take every opportunity to Trash Dems when on some issues Democrats are on his side?
Can Dobbs think the "Chimperor/Dictator" with his BIG GOVT Policies is really in his Camp?

He's done so much to hurt immigrants and turn them into pariahs. He is just insulting and getting to be an a**hole.

Mot ALL, but most. Lou is one of the few if not the only supporter of the middle class on TV today. Remember, if you agree with someone ALL THE TIM<E, you're an idiot!

4. I don't understand why you think he bashes illegal alliens... He calls |
|
them what they are, and makes no bones about who is responsible for this... If the laws were enforced, the borders secured the entire discussion would be mute. The problem lies with the current Administration, Justice Department and Corporations that get away with hiring illegal aliens.

17. That is Lou's complaint, borders need to be secured first |
|
Then you can talk about immigrant workers' rights. Otherwise we will be overwhelmed by low paying workers with their goal of staying permanently. How do we manage the social needs of this country when there might be more people taking out of the system than putting into it. Our health care system is broken. That is one example. Schools need more dollars. Once again corporations are making out like bandits.
Someone mentioned awhile ago on his program that Congress is making these new laws with no money backing their enforcement. Reminds me of the No Child Left Behind.

He always has two repukes for every one Democratic analyst. Yet I have to give him credit for ranting against the bushes before Keith Olbermann and before Air America. He pointed out how bad the bushes were for middle class America long before anyone thought to criticize the idiot in charge. So I tolerate his anti-Dem stance and mute the TV. But I love it when he goes off on a rant against the crazy king and his policies.

he just expects a bit more from Democrats on the issues that affect working Americans. Gotta stay a little patient, Lou. Maybe you'll like the progress on these issues better once we have a Democratic president too.

I am sure that those who normally trash Democrats believe they have good reasons to do it. I am also sure that when it is done here those who do it feel equally justified in their actions.

And not just illegal ones. He has been one of the main avenues of spreading anger and hate toward them.
I am amazed so many here love him.
I posted once how he had turned the minds of good people here toward immigrants. I got blasted.

even the little ones. Privatized internment camps.
First figure out much it will cost. How did you feel about the raids where took mothers away from nursing babies? And did not let them go back?
Lou Dobbs has made all this stuff sound logical. He sickens me.

24. What if the laws are "unenforceable"? |
|
Many employers probably can't tell genuine immigration documents from fake ones. It must be difficult to prove that someone knowingly hired an illegal worker. You can't discriminate against someone just because he is Hispanic and perhaps does not speak English.
Until we have a foolproof way to prove or disprove whether someone is a legal worker, it will be extremely difficult to "enforce the existing laws." Relying on employers to be document experts is a pretty lousy system.
If we don't pass some immigration reform now, the current mess of continued inflow and exploitation will simply continue.

27. First, this country needs to secure its borders. Next 'we ' need to.......... |
|
arrest and prosecute employers that hire illegal aliens; all it takes is a little extra effort to actually determine whether a potential employee is legal or not. It has always been interesting to me that American citizens ALWAYS have to give up their rights to privacy and freedom because of the criminal behavior of foreign 'visitors'.

legal immigrants and illegal aliens. Illegal aliens are NOT legal immigrants and need to be returned to their country of origin, if they have entered the USA illegally.

18. Lou bashes ANYBODY and EVERYBODY on the WRONG side of the illegal alien amnesty bill...... |
|
as he should. If our congress passes the pending legislation for the illegal alien amnesty bill, it will be ultimate and final sellout of the American worker in favor of the corporations and people from other nations. It is time to take to the phones and make certain this legislation is either defeated or permanently scuttled. I will do EVERYTHING in my power to make certain this legislation is defeated. Once again, the MAJORITY of Americans are against this bill yet many of our legislators could care less what 'WE' think.
