Republican State Party Chairman Wishes More Terrorist Attacks on U.S. to Prove George W. Bush "Right
A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

There’s been a bit of commentary on the net about a statement by the Chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party in which he calls for terrorist attacks on the United States to prove that Bush’s anti-terrorism policies are necessary.

Okay, you don’t believe us? You think that this is BuzzFlash hyperbole?

Here’s the money quotation, right here:

"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on , and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country," Milligan said.

Yes, Dennis Milligan, the head of the Arkansas GOP, said this just a few days ago, posted in a June 3 article in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Now, this is a monstrously barbaric and treasonous statement. It is hard to even begin to wrap one’s mind around how it wishes Americans more terrorist attacks to prove Bush is "right" in sending Americans to die and paying hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to war profiteers. To repeat, Milligan is wishing more Americans to die from terrorism on our home soil in order to prove that Bush is doing the "right thing" to prevent such attacks from occurring.

1. There's no way to prove this whole War/Terrorist thing without...
...a scientific study which would require setting up the scenario ..ah...
..maybe 1000 times.

So.. basically ...it's not doable

2. Nobody's asking anyone to prove anything...
Just the whole idea a Republican could wish more terror on us... that more attacks would "prove" Bush was "right" in what he's doing.

3. Nice spin
I'm not sticking up for any Repuke, but you are being disingenous. What he obviously meant was that all it would take is for another attack on our soil and all us liberals will be praising Bush and saying he was right. Which is total bullshit but trying to frame it to mean that he wished an attack on us by terrorists is nonsense and you know it. Repugnicans are always trying to reframe what we say as "Oh you must hate America then". Please don't play the same silly game and pretend you don't know what he meant. It's just as silly as when they try to frame Kerry quotes to defame him.
