Midwest Jet Returns to Mitchell After Pilot Reports Problems
A Midwest Airlines jet returned to Mitchell International shortly after taking off for Orlando on Thursday. The pilot of the MD-81 reported problems with the plane shortly after takeoff.

The plane landed safely at Mitchell. It will be held at the airport for technicians to look at it. Midwest was working to bring in another plane for the 146 passengers.

At the same time, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputies were responding to Oak Creek for a report of airplane parts that may have landed in the area. It's not clear if the parts came off the Midwest jet.
