Fred Thompson's web page
Very cheap looking, is that the best slogan they could come up with?

1. There's that term again, "Moving Forward".

It's like some kind of Repub/Freeper code for denial. To my ear, that is.

Anyone else notice this term in use?

7. It sure invokes memories of that Astroturf™ group 'Move America Forward'
Jingoism in spades.

2. i'm overwhelmed by information! Should i "Tell a friend" or go straight to
"Raise funds"? With all of that policy information on that site it will take me days, no weeks to read through all of it.

5. But.....he's going to "change Washington"!
No one has ever promised that before! We should just put our faith in him and believe that he knows what he's doing! I'm series!

12. I like the message there: "PS, there's a lot more coming, so keep coming back"
Translation: "We've only been planning this since February, so we haven't quite got our shit together."

Why do you think they had to come up with a lame-ass url like "Imwithfred.com"? Because they dawdled around for too damn long and other people have already nabbed all the logical URLs. Let's try a few, shall we?

fredthompson.com ==> a blank page that frames up the Wikipedia page on Fred
thompson08.com ==> seems to be owned by a private party trying to sell the site to Fred
fredthompson4president.com ==> same as above
thompson4president.com ==> Same server as the last two. Bet Tommy couldn't afford him
fred.com ==> a freaky Twilight Zone type of jewelry store on line. Looks French
fredthompson.org ==> redirects to... Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.net? What the hey--?

Seriously, I'm starting to think this Fred Thompson campaign is gonna look real amateur hour.
I wish the Masons still ran this country.

9. Is that site for real?
The whois info for that domain shows that they're using a whois privacy service (DomainsByProxy.com) to hide the identity of the domain registrant. That seems weird for an official campaign site. It's especially disturbing for one that's collecting donations.

13. That looks like a temporary site until the real one is up.
He has to have a way to raise funds until they get the professional site up.
