Bring Back "The Duel."

I have figured out that the only way we can rescue the country is to bring back the duel.

It doesn't HAVE TO be to the death (although in certain cases this might just be desirable), but handled under CODE, this could actually WORK.

The insults, challenges and apologies are all strictly formulated in the CODES and when say, some rePUKE bastard gets challenged and decides to coward it out, he is nationally exposed as the poltroon he is.

Now hear me out: this is so simple it really could work, and would make insult to "honor" through theft, lie, cheating etcetera have direct and immediately lethal consequences. Seconds could become a legal profession, and you could run the duels on TV to maximize the humiliation of retracting the lie or offense.

Hey these guys are serious cowards or they wouldn't have copped out of military service due to "anal cysts" would they? Duels were not a way to kill people, they were mainly a way to show cowards and poltroons for who they really were.

What's not to like? I'm surprised that they've not yet attempted a remake of this classic.

Diesel boats rule—unless you're coming home to a wife or girlfriend. Then they complain about the smell on your clothes. My wife complained of how I smelled and I was on a "nuc" boat. (And oh how I envied the guys on the Barbell: They could go to any port and they wouldn't have to stay out for frickin' ever because, after all, they were a diesel boat with limited supplies.)
