Paris won't come out of the house..
she wanted to testify by phone and the judge told her to get to court. She has not come out yet, this is more special treatment if this was anyone else they would have went in and gotten her.

1. What happens if someone else doesn't show up for a court date?
Contempt of court and extra jail time? I don't know but whatever happens to anyone else is what should happen to her.

10. Too bad...
if you don't like it don't respond to my posts. I guess it is the same reason I am obsessed with your president. Spoiled rich brats who think that there are no rules for them. They break the law and then they laugh in our faces after they think that they have gotten away with it. As far as I am concerned they are two peas in a pod except, one is more dangerous than the other. As far as my profile being disabled I will have to check on that...

the cops dragging her out of the house, and that is the cops dragging Bush and Cheney out of the White House. I expect the level of kicking and screaming would be the same in both cases.

Angry Judge Orders Sheriff To Pick Up Paris, Phone Appearance Pulled
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 8, 2007) -- After being told she could attend a court hearing today over her early jail release by phone, an L.A. Superior Court judge has demanded the heiress head downtown. According to our reporters on the scene, the judge has just ordered the sheriff to pick Paris up and bring her to court. She will be traveling in a sedan.

Originally Hilton was ordered to report to court at 9 a.m. The judge signed an order for deputies to bring her in a sheriff's vehicle from her Hollywood Hills home, said Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini.

On Friday morning, Parachini said Hilton would be allowed to take part in the hearing by telephone. That was reversed at 8:50 a.m. when the Judge ordered her to come in and sent the sheriff to pick her up.

She can't even tell the judge, face to face and eye to eye, of how she was so brutally treated in prison that the sheriff felt she could do it in regular prison?!

...due to her psychological distress issue. Jail might be a little too hard-core...no designer jumpsuit, no hairstylist, no cell phone. She probably figures, if she got one break already, what's another? She could probably buy/cry her way out if she really wanted to. That's scary.

It was filled with extra chairs, some outdoor heaters, stemware, etc. The local paparazzi told the MSNBC guy that Paris was going to be throwing a party tonight.

Good timing to have the truck pull up when all the cameras were there.

Fed more food a day than some Americans are able to afford. With access to reading material. For two to three weeks. That's it.

All house arrest is for someone like here is her usual shallow life, just done 100% at home.

And, odds are she would have violated THAT somehow, too.

So, I'll ask again: suicide for WHAT???

Even that would've been more severe than the kind of "house arrest" that included parties and a steady parade of hangers-on and crony-celebs. She's managed to expose the cruel JOKE that passes for "justice" these days.

32. Normally wouldn't it go to the bail bondsman who would send out the
bounty hunter. For normal people the media would not be involved and the judge would just note failure to appeal, bail bond forfeited, whatever.

Though I guess she is past that point and in serving the sentence, so I'm not sure, but there are probably normal California Procedural Rules of Court. I wonder if they will be strictly applied.

Meanwhile, troops are dying, innocent Iraqis are dying, the US military is being financially starved and privatized out of existence so that mercenaries can "get around" the Geneva Conventions, and, oh yes, over 25% of US children live beneath the poverty line, a good number of these with single/divorced mothers, and the Supreme Court just said gender discrimination is ok if your employer can hide the disparity in income for 180 days.

Look at the shiny bauble, everyone.

50. hand-cuffed Paris on her way to court

With her hands locked behind her back in a pair of steel handcuffs, Paris Hilton was thrown into the back of a Sheriff's cruiser and is on the way to a courtroom in downtown Los Angeles.

The besieged heiress faced a wall of paparazzi as she made her way down from her West Hollywood home, as news helicopters hovered above her home.

Hilton's ride down the Hollywood Freeway promises to be spectacular!
