On Monday, Senate to have No Confidence Vote on Gonzales
Senator Schumer sent this out earlier today:
Today, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) announced that a vote of no confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will be held this Monday.
“If all senators who have actually lost confidence in Attorney General Gonzales voted their conscience, this vote would be unanimous,” said Schumer. “However, the President will certainly exert pressure to support the Attorney General, his longtime friend. We will soon see where people’s loyalties lie.”
Let's see how many of those GOP Senators actually vote their conscience. My bet is they vote with George Bush like they always do.

2. I'm not optimistic
Mitch McConnell is going to load this down with so many bullshit amendments and parliamentary gymnastics that the resolution may never be voted on. Remember the simple non-binding resolution opposing Baby Bush's troop "surge"? The loquacious, prima donna senators could never agree on the language of the resolution and the measure died.

7. This has been getting absolutely no coverage....Gonzo has been notably absent from the news...seems
the White House was probably hoping Americans would forget all those "unpleasantries" we were hearing about for a few weeks regarding Bush's Gonzo....

I can't believe that any Senator, Dem or Republican would want to keep Gonzales as the AG. But I'm not going to hold any hopes, because I've been so disgusted and disappointed lately, that nothing surprises me anymore and the Dems have been so disappointing too.

We'll see what happens....I hope that Gonzo will be Gone-zo, but I'm not holding my breath.
