The Pentagon v The Military Court

<Snip>
The Defense Department said yesterday that it will ask two judges to reconsider their decisions from earlier this week that stalled the military's attempt to put detainees at Guantanamo Bay on trial.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said the department is filing a motion with the judges to reconsider dismissing charges against two Guantanamo detainees, saying that the problem is largely semantics.

Do these fuggers know that the LAW is precise.

1. In this topsey-turvey world of 1948/1984 phisosophy,
this is hardly surprising. It seems to be more fuel to be added to the fire that may result in one hell of a lot more domestic violence than we currently appreciate.
The flaunting of the "law" is undermining respect at all levels and does not auger well for society.

2. Couldn't say it better although it's not only flaunting
of the law. It's also the attacks on the Courts.
Listen to Justice Sandra Day O'Connor as she took on conservative Republican critics of the courts in this speech. She told an audience at Georgetown University that Republican proposals, and their sometimes uncivil tone, pose a danger to the independence of the judiciary, and the freedoms of all Americans.
