the first amendment did NOT erect a wall of separation between reason and state |

while not conceding to freepers anything, try that argument next time they pretend that thomas jefferson didn't know beans about how this nation was founded.
even if there was no separation between church and state, they would still have a hell of a lot to justify before they can get to a point where they can claim it right to substitute their PRIVATE version of god's will for the public logic and reason of 300 million people.

"christian conservatives" who blather on about their constitutional liberties while attempting to use the constitution as a weapon against those they hate don't know how good they have it here in the land of the free. What if there were a state religion and it wasn't christian? Thomas Jefferson didn't know a damned thing about how to provide the country with a viable Navy but Thank God he knew how to assemble a viable constitution which serves all of us.
I will gladly hold the border open for any "christian" who doesn't want to live here. But they won't do that because they are spoiled rotten constitution hating pricks.
