Bush's hijacking of the country in eloquent words |
|
The following appears in the June 18th, 2007 issue of THE NATION
By Chas Wardin cwardin@gmail.com
First he hijacked our emotions To attack his own inferiorities And provoke what his father did not; But expect that Of an ex-alcoholic- A weaning from frat-braus To flight jackets of testosterone.
Next he hijacked our generation And flushed our few fading fantasies With impeachable deceit; But this is our offense Though we stood up to One generation We did not to our own.
But now he has hijacked America's soul And land-mined our constitution And a bi-centennial of good will; This we will not forgive, And shall hence detain and torture him In the Guantanamo prison Of conscientiousness.

2. Well said. However, I question the ex-alcoholic part. |

3. I wonder if that isn't the point.....they try to make him appear |
|
as an ex-alcoholic but I think our suspicions are probably more accurate.

4. Hijacked America's soul? |
|
Self-deception is an insult to reason and the soul.
