1. Tell us how to make it. |
|
There's not much food in the store that I consider edible.

2. Well, there are few ingredients |
|
2 cups cream, 2 cups milk, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup natural unprocessed sugar, 1 vanilla bean, 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, 7 egg yolks.
Mix egg yolks and sugar and salt. Set aside. Simmer milk+cream+ vanilla bean split lengthwise + cardamom until starting to simmer. Then fold into egg mixture. Now bring new mixture back to sauce pan and cook until it sticks to the spoon. Never boil at any point. Cool mixture off in fridge.
Then you need to mix it up in an ice cream mixer (or a large bowl in a bigger ice filled bowl can work, but it's much harder!)
Freeze and enjoy!

Are the eggs cooked enough to kill salmonella?
What is cardamom? I know it is a spice. Can you describe the flavor?
Thanks. :hi:

4. The eggs should be cooked enough yes. |
|
Cardomom is hard to describe. Nothing tastes like it. It's best in things like rice pudding, tapioca and the like. It's maybe hints of citruis and root?
