Sheehan Selling Protest Land to Radio Host

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- When President Bush vacations at his Texas ranch he won't be hounded by Cindy Sheehan any more.

The Gold Star war mom announced Memorial Day she's quitting as the poster child of the anti-Iraq war movement. Now, she's selling the five-acre piece of land she bought near the ranch as a protest headquarters.

A spokeswoman for Sheehan said Los Angeles radio talk host Bree Walker is buying it for $87,000 and will preserve it as a peace memorial.

A pro-war group called Move America Forward had wanted to buy the parcel but Sheehan refused.
