Request for clarification of topics

In the general interest of members and moderators, I respectfully request that the posting guidelines (ie un/acceptable) be clarified. There is obviously confusion among members about what is defined as 'General Discussion' and 'General Discussion: Politics'.

A clear ruling, possibly re-posted at intervals would make everyone's job easier.

do you find there is a fatal lack of humour inhabiting these boards?

In a way this is another kick, because I really would like some clear-cut guidelines on what belongs in GD and what in the lounge. And I'd like someone in the know to let us common folk know what exactly belongs in GD (as opposed to the lounge) and what belongs in GD politics (as opposed to GD).

I could give my own impressions, but on a democratic board I can't guarantee they will be noted, so I'm still waiting for someone in authority (and as ya can tell man, I have total reverence for authority) to step up and set us poor bastards straight.
