Russia proposes rival to WTO
Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has proposed the creation of regional Eurasian free trade organization to a room of high powered business people.

Frustrated, because talks for Russia to join the World Trade Organization had once again become bogged down, Mr Putin described the WTO as archaic, undemocratic and inflexible.

His broadside against the WTO came on the second day of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, a gathering of world leaders and CEOs of dozens of the world's biggest businesses.
