"Lower gas prices?, OH NO!" |
|
Edited on Mon Jun-11-07 05:19 AM by annabanana
Is anyone listening to the am "news"? Prices have lowered at the pumps, but that's 'bad news' because it's 'foreign oil' and only a 'temporary dip'.
Well that's a new slant on the reporting of a dip in prices. Is this the first time a dip was because of increased imports? Why is it not in Exxon-Mobil's interest to frame this as a good thing?
How about this: The whole reason that we've been trying to get control of all that oil over there is to keep them from flooding the market with cheap oil and cutting the pins out from under our local oil barons.
(Of course it will hasten the final reckoning, when it's altogether GONE... but this crowd has never been much on the long view or the big picture)

3. I have not seen the so-called "dip" they are talking about |
|
And why do they say over the last 3 months? Gas has been steadily rising in the last 3 months, I've seen a few penny dip in the lst week or so. Talk about spin.

work in mysterious ways. We just dipped two cents below the magical number of $3.00. I had noticed a difference in the number, and kinds of vehicles on the road above $3. Two cents later, the Hummers reappear, trucks pulling boats, and RVs.
It's sad what two pennies can do.

6. It's not so much a "dip" as it is a "gancho." |

7. Didn't Walmart lose money last month or something? |
|
Poor people can't buy gas and shop at Walmart too, so the Walton family strong armed the multiple chinned gas execs to lower prices.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!:tinfoilhat:
