It's official, Bush is a megalomaniacal jackass: in his own words ...
When questioned about the impending vote of "no confidence" for his hapless Attorney General, Bush stated, "They can have their votes of no confidence, but it's not going to make the determination about who serves in my government." MY government? FUCK YOU, YOU JUG-EARED LITTLE PRICK! It's OUR government. You are nothing more than an historical hiccup, a useful idiot installed to serve the interests of those who pull your strings. Of all the ridiculous utterings from this bow-legged, swaggering, faux-cowboy piece of quasi-human garbage, I think that this is perhaps the most illustrative of the contempt in which he holds the American people and the document which he swore to "preserve, protect, and defend".

1. It's entirely possible he is pretty well crazy at this point
His worldview wasn't healthy, and being faced with the massive failures, the psychological disconnect has to be pretty bad. I wonder if he is talking to the potraits in the White House.

4. I think it's about time we started taking the Pig Bush VERY SERIOUSLY.
I will strap on the tinfoil for a moment and say: I don't think he really has any intention of going back home to Crawford and clearing brush.

All of the "Homeland Security" and other Shadow Government laws would allow him to do anything he wants if he can just snag another WTC, and would not spot you a dollar to a 100 that there are not a few "Let me be your instrument, Lord," fringers who would die (literally) for the chance to MIHOP George into indefinitely Presidency.

12. Regrettably True
Taking impeachment "off the table" was a strategic blunder of huge consequences by the Congressional 'leadership'.

Bush and Cheney are the types who always see negative action or lack of action as permission and/or approval to do whatever they want.

So, they construe a proclaimation of 'no impeachment' as a positive statement that Congress agrees with their policies and behavior.

We are going to regret this "responsible", "governing" decision by the Dem leaders and political consultants ... probably pretty soon.

We have certainly crossed the line. Welcome to Dictatorship. This new status will be made official after the next *ahem* terrorist attack and Bush declares nationwide Marshall Law, shuts down the internets, and sics Blackwater on the masses.

20. Technically, would he have been right to say "my cabinet"?
Edited on Mon Jun-11-07 10:18 AM by file83
But to say "my government" is patently unconstitutional!!

And here is the quandry: the nation has accepted that he is bad with words, but at what point can he say something that is impeachable?

What if Bush said any one of the following:

"I don't care what anyone says, I'm in charge of this government. All decisions will be made by me from now on."

"I'm never leaving this office of Presidency, even after the 2008 election. I'll leave when I want to."

"Place all the protesters in our internment camps - there is no more room in this nation for dissenters."

The scary part is, at what point would we take him seriously? Why are we supposed to NOT take his words at their meaning? When could his words become a threat to our democracy?

He has basically said the first hypothetical quote before. "I'm the decider." Sounded a lot like "dictator" to me.

The second hypothetical quote, he could claim was a joke. Until of course, he actually did it.

The last hypothetical quote I would hope is clear and serious enough to impeach him, if he were ever to say it.

That's why a dipshit president is so dangerous: He can say anything he wants and get away with it.

an imbecile. There lay the danger in laughing at "Bushism's". It really was not funny.

Not at all.

Pretend to be stupid, everyone wants to drink a beer with you, laugh, etc., all this man feels is hate and contempt for everyone and everything. Anyone that throws a cat into a river to drown as a young child, is not going to ever be a nice person.

RIP, US of A. The Bush family finally reigns, with Dubya in "charge". Think of a Greek tragedy, Shakespeare even. Anyone here think he wouldn't maybe decide to put Daddy and Babs away if they cross him? Or Cheney?

29. Maybe he thinks we have a parliamentary system
Where "Cabinet" and "Government" are sometimes interchangeable. Come to think of it, it's too bad we don't have a parliamentary system. Then we could vote no confidence in Bush's leadership.

Yes, we opened it up for public comment.

Yes, we received many thousands of responses, and yes, they were 99% opposed to consolidation.

And yes, we considered that input when we made our decision.

We decided to go the other way.

Thanks for playing.

Edited on Tue Jun-12-07 01:28 AM by Marr
If they wanted to destroy Bush, all they'd need to do is stand up to him on a few issues, loudly and publicly- until he BACKS DOWN. It literally does not matter what the issue is.

That seemingly inexplicable 28% that continues to support Bush and the rest of the GOP does so because they get a sense of power by associating themselves with the party they perceive as kicking sand into the wimps' eyes. They're losers, living vicariously through their bully heroes.

Make Bush back down on something- anything- and you'll see that 28% chip away FAST. Cave into him, and you shore up his support.

In this climate he could easily be maneuvered into defending the absolutely indefensible. Pick anything you like. Any no-brainer issue that puts Bush at odds with 90% of the population, and stick to it. Pick several issues. Override that preening dunce's veto ONE TIME, and his support will drop 10 points.

32. Not a surprise. And Directive 51 surely does make this his government
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

But those of us who are truly concerned about this are told that we are panicking, as if the language in this or references to a Constitution that is long unrecognizable in it even matter at this point. All he now needs is ONE hurricane even half the size of Hurricane Katrina that causes loss of life or damage as HE interprets, and he can get the ball rolling. So I ask the same questions that have been on my mind for a while and that I have asked others with not much of a response: Why the hell are we all sitting in our homes still? Why are we going about our daily routines as if nothing is wrong? And just what could these bastards do that would actually move the majority of people away from their TV remotes to actually give a damn? Well, I fear that whatever that is should it happen would now make it too late to give a damn. This truly does defy all REASON.

37. I hate to be a party pooper, but it is his administration...and is routinely referred
to in that way. Actually, I'd chalk this up to just another one of
Bush's poor choice of words.

I never thought I'd be defending the guy. What has us rankled is that
the government Lincoln described as "of the people, by the people, for the people" has been so disrespected by this administration and its backers.
