Serbian outrage over Bush remarks

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said Monday that his country was "rightfully embittered" by Bush's remarks in support of Kosovan independence made during a brief stopover Sunday in Albania, adding that the United States "has no right to give away Serbia's territory to Albanians," according to a government news release.

"America must find another way to show its affection and love for the Albanians, without offering them Serb territories," Kostunica told Serbian national television.

"Serbia is rightfully outraged at the American policies on the issue of Kosovo."

I guess I don't know enough about the Serbian/Kosovo relationship to comment on this, except that maybe Bush could have been more diplomatic.

5. Why be diplomatic? Bush wants to hand Kosovo to the Albanians. He does.

What possible sugar coating is going to work? The Serbs think it's theirs and think it's the birthplace of their nation. One of the two ain't so bad, right? It'd be a .500 batting average in baseball.
