Did you all hear/watched Amy Goodman's DemocracyNow segment today about "vulture funds" reported by Greg Palast?...It's a doozy and it has John Conyers fuming pissed at Bush! If this does not call for impeachment, then I don't know what will..(along with arming the Sunnis)...this most criminal to high heaven....

6. It is possible that Bush missed the G8 meeting not because of a tummy upset

but because that morning they were talking about AIDS relief and how Vulture funds make a mockery of this "relief". Bush's family friends being the beneficiaries.

9. I read something about they were pushing that picture of Bush/near beer

because they would rather people be speculating about Bush being hung over than people be speculating about why Bush skipped the AIDS funding meeting.

It did seem odd that AP kept running the picture of Bush drinking the 5% beer when previously the Bush press image is so tightly controlled by the Bushies.

4. I heard Palast talk about the vulture funds this weekend on AAR.

He said that all this money we are "giving" to countries, and all the debt we have "forgiven" is nothing but a way to provide cover for those who run vulture funds. It's really sick, but I expect nothing less from these people.
