What more do we need to make impeachment happen? I'm sorry, |
|
I'm just really so damned confused. We impeached Clinton for lying about his dalliance with an intern, yet we don't have many more serious lies and offenses committed by this administration? For all the speeching and pontificating on the floors of the House and the Senate, the people we elected to represent us, the people, to uphold the oath they swore to, to uphold the Constitution? This is what we get?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING? JUST WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?

2. there is only so much time.. do you want continue the corruption hearings or waste the time to put |
|
these criminals in jail or at least put an end to election fraud.. and the dismantling of the constitution...
you can impeach which is NOTHING...wont do squat even if you do achieve it.. it is just a statement everybody already knows.
there is only enough time to do one or the other
if you are for impeachment, you are for essentially ending the investigations that are revealing the insidious evil cult of corruption that has infested the government and might eventually give reason to end corporate funding of elections..
we are about reveal the criminality of Carl Rove and Dick Cheney.. F' their stupid puppet in the white house, history will shit on him.. or they will drag him down too, his fate is sealed as we speak.. and that fate is to be known as stupid as we have been saying he is.. i think he will either be assassinated by the NeoCons and be deemed a Martyr for reason for another war or he will simply drink and pill himself to death..his end will be tragic enough

3. Well, yes Sam, I'd like to see the criminals in jail, it goes back to Iran/Contra. |
|
All the criminal pardoned then are loose now. I would very much like to see them all in jail.
What time are we talking about? I've been waiting a long time, have you? How may more investigations do we need? How much deeper do we need to go? Damn, Sam! I'd really like to see this nation move forward, not backwards. Karl Rove is the least of the problem.

5. The Dems aren't going to get rid of the corporate money |
|
At least none of the Dems who are currently the front-runners. There are few Dems in Congress who aren't just as beholding to the corporations as the Repugs.

8. We are ABOUT to reveal KKKarl and Dick's criminality? Sheesh, here I |
|
thought that has been pretty obvious for a LONG TIME. Like since 2000.
The dems sure are holding a lot of hearings. Now I wish someone would tell me what's been accomplished. As far as I can see their big accomplishments are a 'secret' trade deal with bush** (the details of which we still haven't been clued in on) and funding his war no strings attached.

9. I think it's pretty clear that justice cannot prevail in a system |
|
that is controlled by the same corporate criminals that need to be brought to justice.
The charade that we are a democratic republic that strives for the rule of law was exposed in 2000 for me.

Government is not going to hold itself accountable.

11. Impeachment Without Conviction = Less Than Zero |
|
Clinton was "impeached" but not convicted...and his inquisition meant a huge waste of time and resources...and in the end Clinton was exonerated by the Senate...and he went on to finish his term...and even launched the military operation into Kosovo. Some will claim that the inquisition cost the Repugnican house seats. So what did we really get out of Clinton's impeachment? Zero...and far less than would be achieved in going after this regime.
No matter how much I would love to see boooosh banished this second...and my satisfaction won't be a simple political impeachment, but a full-blown criminal and war crimes investigation and trial conducted in the Hague. I want a real trial, not some political game show.
booooosh's violations of the Constitution are criminal...well beyond purely political crimes...impeachment is too good. (and there's not the 67 votes as 17 Repugnicans don't have the principals to convict).
The ultimate price the Repugnicans can and must pay for the past 7 years is losing big next year and kept from any real levers of power for many years beyond that. That's something we can all do something about...and is the ultimate best revenge and the best way to restore our rights and Constitution.
