Please Answer This Question to Benjamin Franklin |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-12-07 05:58 AM by RestoreGore
A lady asked Dr. Franklin, “Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy?” — “A republic,” replied the Doctor, “if you can keep it.” Anonymous, from Farrand’s Records of the Federal Convention of 1787
Well, do we have a dictatorship or a Republic, and is it not then because we choose not to keep our Republic that we will have the former? Can we keep it? I'm not convinced right now that we can because the challenges that lie before us seem to be too immmense for this media soaked unreasonable society to comprehend. Am I wrong? Do we really have what our predecessors had in the way of spirit and love for this country to fight to keep it? If you think so, then convince me.
