MSNBC News - Only shows Bush in Albania; Says he is a Rock Star
Edited on Tue Jun-12-07 11:44 AM by EV_Ares
The lady on MSNBC News so far this morning makes a big issue of Bush in Albania.

How come no video of him in Germany & other European countries.

Is Albania the most important country in Europe?

Also, I notice she always gets this attorney on from KS who worked for Ashcroft for their so called legal analysis. Would think they would have a moderate or someone not Right Wing once in a while for a legal opinion.

Don't know who she is but bet she could get a great job on Faux.

By the way, so far no news on Iraq on Faux Snooze, only cars falling off of building garage parking lots,

Big news on the trouser lawsuit and Nifong going to trial over the Duke case, they love that one.

They need someone to fall overboard on a ship again.

1. And they love David Hasselhoff in Germany and Jerry Lewis in France.
No accounting for taste.

2. Has anyone mentioned why Albanians are so fired up about Bush?
Admittedly, I know nothing about Albanian culture and so have no clue about why they might regard Bush as some sort of "rock star."

5. only one reason: he has voiced support for an independent Kosovo
most of the Kosovo population are ethnic Albanians...

chants of "Boooshy," "Boooshy" have nothing to do with Bush, and everything to do with his policy on Kosovo

By the way, did you see this? Some dude in the crowed swiped Bush's watch:

3. Previous to Bush's visit, the most popular Westerner in Albania ...
... was Norman Wisdom, a goofy, pratfalling clown with right-wing views, well past his sell-by date, whose screen character couldn't hold down a job and screwed up everything he touched, creating chaos everywhere.

Do I see a pattern here?

10. See, I know he was in Germany because MSNBC covered it.
So I have no idea what the OP is talking about. MSNBC covered him where he was each day.

17. It is primarily a difference in the coverage and I also think is the lady
who was doing the news or does the news on MSNBC in the mornings. That is what I was talking about, the way she portrayed the entire thing. However, I don't know about the other coverages but this was made into like the entire thing.

Nothing unusual really. Thanks, you may have got more of the other.

8. The political equivalent of a rock band being
..."really big in Japan."

That counts for a lot. :eyes:

12. They did cover when he was in Germany and other countries.
It just so happened he was also in Albania, so they covered that too. Don't get hysterical.

14. Well it could be that
....it's actually NEWS when he is well received. I mean showing a bunch of Europeans (or anybody else for that matter outside of carefully choreographed red state selected invites) protesting and decrying Bush is pretty much the news equivalent of "YEs it's hot today" every day in August on Phoenix channels. Let's be honest - did anybody know he was popular in Albania - or again anywhere else - before this was shown? That's pretty much newsworthiness incarnate - something nobody ever knew before about the most news-covered politician on earth.

It looks like he's finally found a place for his presidential library.
