Somebody else here reported he hit the lottery earlier today.

I finally got appropriate pain control and the depression evaporated, although I'm still blind as a bat and limited in exercise tolerance.

Things are starting to look up for a lot of us lately.

In the meantime, use an ice pack. It doesn't feel as good as heat but the effects will last for a couple of hours after you take the ice off. You should ice it for 20 minutes on every hour and a half or so.

Ice numbs pain transmission and reduces any swelling in the area. Trust me on this one, it works one hell of a lot better than heat does, even if the heat is more comforting.

Obviously, if the pain persists or it radiates down your leg or anywhere else, you need to consult a physician.
