Bush no money magnet
By Alexander Bolton
June 13, 2007
Financial projections for the President’s Dinner tonight confirm that Republican confidence in the president is in a state of collapse.

The National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) fundraising goal is $7.5 million, which is half what was raised last year. But to reach this lesser goal, each individual lawmaker has been asked to raise the same amount as 12 months ago. In other words, the NRCC is assuming lawmakers won’t be either willing or able to hit the targets they managed last year.

1. Several thoughts:
1) Guess a heckofalot of KSTREET $ dried up. (There was an interesting recent article about how hard GOP lobbyists are having readjusting to the new congress - they used to just walk in with a list wish and get it, and now they have to have strong reasons (and face questioning about those reasons) to get any kind of listen per their proposals.)

2) Wonder how soon this spurs resentment per dwindling resources for each single lawmaker to raise - ala if they are having a harder time raising $ - how much do they hate having to waste some of those dwindling resources on the NRCC? When rolling in dough - the giveback prolly didn't feel so deep and a loss of vital rare funds...

7. Wel humans, even REpublicans, are endlessly adaptable.
I'm sure the Bottomfeeders in Washington will figure out a new way to scam us out of our money.

2. How long before the NRCC declares that the terrorists won?
Thats what they said would happen if Dems got into power and now look even their funding is gone just like their souls.
