Bush told Maliki that we are a nation of 12 year olds. |
|
Washington Journal just read excerpts of a piece by Maliki running in the WSJ today. It equates in the most simpistic terms possible that the fighting in Iraq is just like a combination of the American Revolution and the Civil War.
Now either B*sh and his speech writers told Maliki that the American people ought to be addressed as if they were in Middle School (God knows, that's how he always talks to us), or Rupert Murdoch already got his mits on the paper.

1. Hey, that's why he's president! |
|
Of course, the stolen 2000 election didn't hurt him either! I think many people are ill informed and make decisions on who to vote for on the shallowest of bits of "information" or solely on basis of sound bites.

e mail chain letters that go out on the internet lately. The latest one I seen was about taxes. What struck me as rather amusing was the e mail letter tried to say that no taxes were made until the last 100 years. Then it went on to bitch about taxes relating to the automobile. Btw, wasn't it Lincoln that started the income tax in order to pay for the civil war? But looking at these types of e mail crap, I realize that only a brain dead moron or a 12 year old would take them as truth, shrubs base.

were not implemented until the early 1900s and it took a constitutional amendment (#?) to happen. Some people question whether or not the required votes were actually there to pass it.

With so many Americans unable to think critically, because of a really pisspoor educational system and an extremely oppressive society.. who knows. Maybe most of us are like pre-pubescent eejits.
Our nation is most definitely being led by one, Bushinc.

My guess is that most of the real readers of the WSJ know that the article isn't addressed to them. The money people are just keeping track of what flavor of pap is being fed to us.

7. ... he's right, and that's why we all need to read Gore's new book. |

... we have been dumbed down to the point of near-vegetation and if anything in this country is ever going to resemble what it used to, we need to smart ourselves, the body politic, the discourse, and the media up, quicklike. :applause:
