26. I agree. Harriet Miers is sweet.
If I owned an ice cream shop, I'd totally be willing to hire her to, I dunno, was the dishes or something.

Probably not ready to work the cash register, of course, but she does have a nice smile.

5. It's official: the (lame) ducks are lined up...
... next move: White House will be whining "Execytive priv'lij! Execytive priv'lij!"

Dems should hit back hard with their own talking points:
• Only applies to prez and his conversations
• Does NOT apply when crimes are committed
• If Junior and Fredo really do believe no crimes were committed, they would not engage in conduct that suggests a cover-up. After all, this Prez promised to "return honor and integrity to the White House."

Come on. They've already authorized subpoenas for him, and everyone knows he's the one who was behind the firings.

Put him under oath, and make him lie to Congress.

Then eat his lunch.

Have you noticed how many of these Bush Administration, authoritarian sorts just seem so massively stupid? Doug Feith, Lurita Doan, Monica Goodling... Bush himself... their ranks seem to be filled with idiocy.

My prediction (not a threat):This woman will not survive her testimony. They'll make sure she's busy having a heart attack or breast cancer.

She will never, I repeat, never be put in front of a microphone.

It. Just. Won't. Happen.
