Iraq bombers hit key Samarra mosque 13 Jun 2007 Saboteur bombers destroyed the two minarets of a revered Shiite shrine in Samarra early Wednesday, in a repeat of the 2006 (US) attack that shattered its famous golden dome and unleashed a wave of retaliatory sectarian violence that still bloodies Iraq. 'Sunni extremists of al-Qaida were quickly blamed.' (Right, but we all know that the US is supplying 'Sunni extremists' with the explosives. See: 'We have made a deal with the devil.' U.S. unit enters an alliance with former insurgents --Soldiers in Baghdad give police powers, guns to former insurgents 09 Jun 2007 The American soldiers in Amiriyah have allied themselves with dozens of Sunni militiamen who call themselves the Baghdad Patriots -- a group that American soldiers believe includes 'insurgents' who have attacked them in the past -- in an attempt to drive out 'al-Qaeda' in Iraq. The Americans have granted these gunmen the power of arrest, allowed the Iraqi army to supply them with ammunition, and fought alongside them in chaotic street battles. --Read it before the PentaPost's bosses at the White House have it yanked.) 4. Even the PentaPost reported that the US has entered an alliance with the 'insurgents.' |
|
I use quotation marks around the word 'insurgents,' as the government in Iraq is not legitimate. Anyway, the 'insurgents' are the 'Sunni extremists.' They are in an alliance with the US, in order to keep the chaos alive. US contractors - without competitive bids - can then build that which they destroyed. What a deal! Now, you tell me how 'insurgents' are able to haul huge trucks loaded with chlorine bombs and massive explosives through the streets of Iraq, given the 'surge' of US soldiers, amid checkpoints and numerous security sweeps. They can't. Polar Bear

Just because the ball's slow and over the plate doesn't mean I should smack it. Sorry.

Syria of course.
It it delusion to imagine that the US is not supplying arms to various factions based on conditions on the ground at any given time.
Iraq is, in military parlance, FUBAR.
