the judge and the PANT suit -- question
by now most of you are aware of the stupid lawsuit over a pair of pants

here's the question:

taking into consideration the predictibility of the bushies to "change the subject" or otherwise divert attention - how long will it be before the bushies bring up "tort reform" and use the pants suit as an example.

(Yes the pants suit, in my opinion, is a stupid one and one that should have never made it into court.)

The pants suit has many different elements to exploit - it involves a LEGAL IMMIGRANT couple, operating a SMALL BUISNESS who are being harmed by FRIVILOUS LAWSUITS

1. What's even more ironic
is that the judge in question has gone on record as favoring tort reform and stopping lawsuits like this one!

7. The couple who own the Dry Cleaners have spent more
than $100,000 fighting this jerk

My question is how on earth did it get this far? Why hasn't it been thrown out earlier?

8. Maybe that's the reason he took it: to have a chance to grandstand
Has the suit been resolved yet?

9. I can't recall thelink that gave this clod's history...but he is one
of the few black RW judges out there.

Stalwart GOP type...the "law" is to be used for personal gain for memebers of the GOP and all else pales under said law.

He is indeed, one more hypocritical

I am surprised a judge is actually hearing this case! It should have been thrown out long ago...

4. Batshit crazy. Two bricks shy of a load. One olive short of a martini.
Three french fries short of a Happy Meal. Playing hockey with a warped puck.

Countdown mentioned last night that he even got tearful on the stand when talking about his troutless trowsers.

And this guy is on the bench... :scared:

5. He cried and had to leave the courtroom!
The best part is, the pants are described as coming from a "blue and maroon" suit. Blue and maroon? Holy hell, do I need to see this suit! I wonder if it came with the red rubber nose and clown shoes?

6. A blue and maroon suit? That oughta be enough to get him disbarred, right there!

Seriously, hizzoner sounds maybe just a teeny, tiny bit unbalanced to me... :silly:

I keep thinking about the judge in ...And Justice For All (Jack Warden, I believe) who had a habit of flying his helicopter just a little bit past the point of no return, eating his lunch on the ledge outside his office, and sticking gunbarrels in his mouth.

10. That was Jack Warden.
Now that you mention it I recall these scenes in the movie. As I recall, he took Al Pacino out for a ride and went a little too far out. Crashed just short of the landing pad.

And what about the Attorney General who can't hardly remember whether he's coming or going (appears to be early onset of Altzheimer's disease) and yet he still holds the highest position in the Justice department.
