2. I have noticed that even where I live in a large metropolitan area,

there are a few times a year when something I want to buy is found only at WalMart. Last summer, I needed shorts. I went to KMart, Target, Sears and Penneys and they either had no shorts or they were way too expensive ($30 a pair at Sears!) This week I am looking for a little fan for my living room. You'd think this time of year they would be in every store in town. I have been to Sears and Target so far - no little fans. I know Penneys won't have them. I am going to Walgreens and CVS today and if they don't have what I want, I will have to go to WalMart. Drives me nuts.

I will continue looking at other stores. But how many people have the time or can afford to spend the money on gas driving around to look for things they would normally buy at WalMart?
