The space station shuttle propulsion computers are down, again.

They think the problem is some kind of magnetic interference from some solar arrays that were just put up.

Right now, the space station is being kept in proper orbit by the shuttle. Worst case scenario: all will have to abandon the station and come back either with Atlantis or Soyuz.

1. Hmm.
Not a lot of interest in space news, today? Maybe there's too much else going on.

3. Me, too. It sounds like a potentially dangerous situation for everyone aboard the station.
:(

4. Blah, blah! Cut all funding for this! Blah! Money wasted!
I can hear the luddites polishing their keyboards up, the foam starting to spray from the corners of their mouths...

"WE MIGHT AS WELL SCUTTLE THAT THING AND PUT THE MONEY BACK INTO FOOT RESEARCH!"

5. Well, I'm surprised they haven't chimed in yet, actually.
Maybe they'll miss this one?

6. Foot research? Fascinating! Probably more useful than this fancy
"ovarian cancer" bollocks they're working on.

9. I am confused by the title of your post.
The space station shuttle propulsion computers

Is it the Shuttle or the Station that is having the problem? Got a link to the source, please?

I saw where the Station itself had Russian made computers that went down. Unfortunately, they are the ones that control Oxygen and other life support, if i remember what i heard (a blurb on NPR this AM)

11. Oops! It's the space station computers. Sorry!
The shuttle computers have taken over propulsion tasks for the space station.
