Poll question: Will Chimp Pardon Libby?
A simple Yes or No.

I say the improbable "No" -jest a feeling. Chimpy's Dad pardoned Caspar Weinberger and others involved in Iran-Contra; Monkey-boy loathes comparisons to his Dad and has spent his life making I-am-not-my-father decisions (as in invading Iraq). And the Chimp is notoriously stingy when it comes to pardons. I personally don't think he gives a rat's ass about sucking up to his base anymore, it's all about his legacy- HAR HAR HAR. Tick-tock, tick-tock....

6. I said no because Libby doesn't seem to think so.
He has now added another attorney to his "fleet of BIG BUCK guys". One whose expertiese is winning cases brought before the SCOTUS. If he or his lawyers believed he was going to be granted a pardon, he would never have done that.

7. W Has His Heels Dug In
In his present "bunker" mental state, the more anybody pushes, the more W resists. The Libby supporters are fools to make a big issue about it, by now W will never give in. He's pissed at Cheney, too. If Cheney hadn't outed Plame, Dubya wouldn't be in the Constitutional crisis he's in, and the Injustice Department might not be in tatters. Well, it's possible, at least in his mind. He might even have kept the House and Senate rubber-stamping away. Cheney overreached, and he's still doing it, and it pulled the whole house of cards down.

These people are persistent--that is their strength. But they have only one way of responding, and that is their weakness. They truly refuse to evolve.

On the other hand, we have the DLC, which constitutes a flock of sheep looking for a leader.
