Libby Judge: I Was Threatened

Emotions ran high enough in the leak trial that the judge received threatening mail, he said Thursday.

Walton said he received threatening letters and phone calls after sentencing the former White House aide to prison.

Walton said he was holding the letters in case something happened but said they would have no effect on Thursday's decision.

Libby was sentenced for lying to investigators about how he learned that the wife of an outspoken Iraq war critic worked for the CIA and whom he told.

There also is the question of whether President George W. Bush will issue a pardon. Bush has said he wants to let the legal case play out first.

It's a pattern of behavior. I'm glad that it's being exposed. This isn't the first time they have pulled this crap. It clearly shows these thugs for what they are. They are nothing but common criminals in a nice suit.

When's the last time you heard of a Democrat sending threatening letters to a judge? Think about it.

Nevertheless, justice has been served. Bravo to that!

7. If threats were made over the phone then that was pretty stupid.

The same goes for the mail as well. I hope that the Feds have a better time finding those that made the threats than they have with finding the Anthrax terrorist.
