Bush 29%, Congress 23% - It's time for both to reevaluate what America wants done |
|
Could be it's time for both Bush and Congress to take a step back and understand that most average US citizens see both as betraying them in favor of the special elitist wealthy self interest groups?
We the people are weary of the same ole obfuscation of any policies that helps average Americans. while they act with enthusiasm making law that benefits moneyed interests. I put their push for illegal worker amnesty as a major example but not the only example. There are the Iraq War and the national health care issues that are decided so big money gets preference over common sense.

impeachment proceedings do not allow the use of executive privilege, impeach Cheney first.

4. Personally I think that congress needs another kick in the ass. |
|
The Republicans still haven't gotten the message and the Democrats are too timid. I am keeping my fingers crossed that things will change for the better.

7. To start, America needs to get off its ass and VOTE large enough majorities!!1 |

That is to say, if every eligible voter actually voted, there would not be a single Rethug in office anywhere. But our virtual majority is worthless since it DOESN'T VOTE and the system operates by NUMBERS.

8. Bush is a fully feathered lame duck, has nothing to lose, and is |
|
stubborn to the point of stupidity. He will not budge. Congress, on the other hand, has to face the voters and can be influenced. There is time, but not a lot, to get straightened out. Congress can recover its popularity if it will muster the political will to bring this war to an end (power of the purse.) No games, please - we are wise to the games.

9. gone are the days of "for the people, by the people" government |
|
The corruption of our leaders, and the stupidity of the American people are equally to blame for our loss of control.
