Earth day is in April, while to late even for the later primaries.

He needs to keep 7/7/07 as apolitical as possible. Any person from any country from any political background can support a healthier future.

If he were to turn that into a campaign speech, it would ruin the event.

Now, if he were to announce on 7/8/07, that would be fine with me. :-)

His message as a politician will be savaged no matter when/if he announces. But if he did it on that day, it would ruin the Live Earth message. The disillusionment of environmentalists worldwide would be a total disaster. I mean, I would be so depressed if it turned into a political launchpad that I might go buy a charcoal grill and fry up some baby seal steaks.
