2. I don't know but I'm glad to see Alison Stewart. |
She's Keith's best stand-in.

8. I prefer the term 'attractive' ... |
Edited on Thu Jun-14-07 08:03 PM by TahitiNut
... since she's not only pretty, she's also bright, quick, good-hearted, diligent, and conscientious. Those are personal attributes I find very attractive. I just wish she'd amp down the affectations a tad - sometimes she comes across as trying just a bit too hard.

9. You're right. Words have nuanced meanings, and "attractive" encompasses more than physicality. |
It's a good point. As for the affectations, they aren't so bad. According to Wikipedia, she was at MTV until 1996, so maybe some of what you're noticing is just rock and roll residue. ;)

13. "rock and roll residue" ... excellent way to describe it. |
Yes ... it's a touch of forced emphasis that comes off as a bit contrived. It's a bit like gilding a lily - since her inherent merits are quite sufficient.

6. I can't stand it either! I always worry that some major conflict |
resulted in his firing, in spite of his high ratings. There are so few we can rely on for integrity in news reporting now.
