What does it say about Bush's need to display the presidential seal on all his clothing?
I think he needs a constant reminder to both himself and the world that he's the president.

Deep down he knows he didn't earn the office. Might be some guilt going on there.

Deep down he knows he is way over his head. Might be some anxiety going on there. And fear.

Deep down he never truly grew up, and is acting out his insecurities and need to be seen as a big man; therefore, he has to cram his office down everyone's throat every chance he gets. He wants acceptance, respect even, but he's not mature or savvy enough to figure out how to achieve those goals.

2. Makes me think of him as some private academy student
More to do with the snob aspect of it rather than the learned aspect of course.

8. but it's not just the socks
he has that seal engraved on his boots, his shirts, his jackets.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if his toilet paper carried the seal.

5. Infantile mentality.
I'll never forget seeing him on TV during the Florida recount/SCOTUS debacle. He was walking away from the cameras and looked back over his shoulder and said, "I'm gonna be president!!" with a gleeful expression and tone that were exactly those of a 3-year-old brat who got away with something.

That scene is frozen in my memory and I knew then for certain that we were in deep, deep shit.

"Arrested development" is putting it mildly.

and damage its reputation for academic excellence by wearing clothing with their name on it.

This could be a sign that Bush truly is a compassionate conservative.

He's the only other one (besides the governor on Blazing Saddles) that needs a constant reminder of his profession.

20. He can wear all the emblems he wants.
He was selected pResident, but he's been a total failure in spite of the corporate media's attempts to provide cover for him. He may have the title and patches to show it, but not the moral authority of his Office. He was selected because he could be manipulated and scripted, sort of the antithesis of the qualities people want in a real leader. He's a total failure,28% in the polls after 6 years on the job and losing ground by the day. He's turned the Office into a joke.

"I AM THE PRESIDENT!!" "I'm the Commander, and I get to make the decision, not you." "...and I've heard heard the voices. But I'm The Decider!" "I'm the Commander guy."

Yeah, right monkeysac...but we haven't forgotten how much easier all of this would be if this were a dictatorship (Heh Heh!) , so long as "__________________________!!!!!! (Heh Heh Heh!)"

Can we get rid of this person, now? I want my life back.
