Well, Josh is gone.
Well, Josh is gone.

Some of you may remember a few threads back about how I mentioned a young aide at my facility, Josh, had displayed a great deal of frustration about not being in the Middle-East to do his ‘patriotic duty.’

Well, he got his wish-as of Monday morning, he was shipped-out and sent to some indoctrination center to make sure his skills in shooting and hydration are up to speed. I worked with him this past Sunday night on my hallway…he was happy as a clam.

Never mind the fact that victory was claimed several years too early, or that the reasons we are there are a lie, and when his fearless leader was cornered about it he said it was still the “…right thing to do” and that he would do it over again if he had to.

The MSM bought it and so did most of us because there are three problems your average American has that make this shit possible: ignorance, apathy, and lack of critical thinking.

Not to indicate that he is stupid or apathetic; the truth be known, he is a wonderful nursing aide and very good with the residents. He is able to make smart decisions about how to get the job done and what to do when everything goes south. Already, half of the folks down my hall are asking about him. I claim ignorance-to do otherwise might end up being a political tirade much like I am doing here and besides-these folks have enough problems that they don’t need to hear about it.

With that “hoo-rah” attitude that he has been indoctrinated with he will be able to kill another human being without much thought because he has been convinced that rolling over car bombs or being shot is somehow protecting our freedom here and making the lives of others whole and free.

Yank-yank.

That gung-ho mantra is the kind of thing that will get him killed. If he does make it back, he is prone to a great deal of other problems: bodily damage and most of all, psychological damage.

Oh yeah, let’s not forget that since the government spends more time passing around the hot-potato of blame for these catastrophes, kids like Josh will be forced to contend with their actions abroad.

Lately, everyone has had their panties in a wad about the sad state of affairs at Walter Reed and other VA facilities. What a load of shit. There is nothing new about these facts; ask any veteran and they will tell you that this goes back decades. Why the sudden interest? That’s because the MSM got marching orders from Big Brother to save W’s ass by distraction. War? What war? Oh that…well…Paris Hilton! Hillary Clinton! American Idol! We know that you are a moron, so buy yellow ribbons and shut the hell up!

Yeah folks, that is what it all boils down to. All made possible when your civil liberties come with a price tag and our way of life has become conglomerated by special interests.

I pray for my nation and I pray for Josh. The fact of the matter is he can do a lot more for people here than he can over there. He has no idea what awaits him.

1. How did Walter Reed save W's ass?
And Virginia Tech WAS news.

Paris Hiltong? Yea, unfortunately, THAT interests Americans. It's sad, I know, but it does.

How did Walter Reed save W's ass?

Simple-more distraction from something that "wasn't my fault."

The word "Clinton" was probably on the tip of his tongue.

5. This is the "brain washing" of the masses you are describing
If the masses only hear a few comments and stories about what is truly happening in Iraq and the rest of the media time is Consumed with trash then how could anyone take the war seriously since it get so little air time. To say nothing of the glossed over version of this war. Meanwhile, the Middle East is in flames and we are doing nothing about it and have done nothing about it. The bushies only have one course of action, Bomb. Otherwise they have no game plan. Diplomacy is not in their game plan. It is bushies' "my way or the highway" Strategy.
